Quarterfinals Washington 14, Bok 8 (OT) In the first OT game in PL history, Bok failed on four plays to start the extra session and then Washington's Julian Jones (9-45) ran four yards for his second TD. Germantown 52, King 12 Spencer Whetts completed 8 of 18 passes for 166 yards and three TDs -- all to Javer Dillard (5-105) -- while raising the PL record for one-season scoring passes to 19. Terry Robertson ran for two TDs and two conversions. King's Kervin Charles ran 23 times for 125 yards and a TD. Mastbaum 20, Dobbins 0 Chafie Fields rushed 24 times for 163 yards and a score. Frankford 50, Bartram 0 Eddie Gaskins ran 14 times for 118 yards and three TDs. Alex Peev kicked a 47-yard field goal, the longest from placement in PL history, and five PAT. Lovato Bowman turned one of his two interceptions into a 65-yard TD return. Semifinals Doubleheader at Northeast Washington 30, Germantown 24 (OT) In OT, Kerwyn Hackett's deflection enabled Ken Bivins to intercept a pass by Germantown's Spencer Whetts and then Washington QB Rob Farris scored from the 1. Whetts finished 14-for-36 for 238 yards and two TDs to Javer Dillard (6-127), including a 61-yarder that came on third-and-27 with 1:50 left and tied the score. Mastbaum 21, Frankford 0 Chafie Fields, Leonhard "P.J." McCray and Marcus Godfrey ran for one score each. Godfrey made eight tackles. Frankford entered with a 9-0 record and 37.1 scoring average. Final At Northeast Washington 17, Mastbaum 8 Dan Cliggett provided a 10-8 lead by kicking a game-record, 45-yard field goal. That distance was only 4 yards short of the overall city-leagues record. The clinching TD came with 4:43 left when rusher Reggie Bynum fumbled at Mastbaum's 1 and receiver Ramel Tiggett recovered the ball in the end zone. Ronald "Butch" Crawley (10-38) led Washington's balanced rushing attack. For Mastbaum, Leonhard "P.J." McCray passed 8-for-15 for 137 yards and Marcus Godfrey rushed 12 times for 91 yards and a TD.

Quarterfinals Judge 28, La Salle 7 Greg Yodis ran for a TD and passed 8-for-10 for 117 yards and a 50-yard TD to Matt Jones. Keith Boggi rushed 24 times for 104 yards. For La Salle, Dan McNichol passed 12-for-26 for 184 yards and Tom Truitt made four catches for 98 yards. McDevitt 10, Ryan 0 Ben Payne made four tackles for losses, recovered two fumbles and batted down a pass as McDevitt halted Ryan's 47-game unbeaten streak in CL play (45-0-2, regular season and playoffs). Also, the Raiders had won 25 consecutive games in CL play. McDevitt's TD came when Chris Westerman blocked a punt and Pat Watkins recovered in the end zone. Carroll 21, Neumann 0 The Patriots received long interception TDs from Pete Hinckle (91 yards) and Corey Hill (77 yards). Bonner 19, O'Hara 7 Mike Mitros ran for two scores and passed 11-for-22 for 219 yards and a TD. Chris Hemmert (4-94) and Anthony Becht (4-53) led the receivers. Semifinals At Northeast Carroll 12, Judge 9 In the CL's first inter-division semifinal, Carroll overcame a 9-0 halftime deficit and won despite being outgained from scrimmage, 253-123. Four plays into the third quarter, Greg See forced a fumble and Pete Sousa (14 tackles) picked up the ball and ran 40 yards for a score. Pete Hinckle caught a 33-yard scoring pass from Andrew Tamaccio with 8:07 left and later had an interception. For Judge, Keith Boggi ran 29 times for 161 yards and a score. At Plymouth-Whitemarsh Bonner 33, McDevitt 14 Mike Mitros passed 10-for-15 for 172 yards and one TD each to Anthony Becht (4-103) and Chris Hemmert. The Friars broke a 14-14 tie when Mitros, not the kicker, lined up to attempt a 41-yard field goal and then took a flip from Jon Bystrek, the holder, and threw a 23-yard scoring pass to Hemmert. Bystrek ran for one TD and scored another on an 86-yard kickoff return. McDevitt's Levar Talley ran 21 times for 106 yards and a TD. Final At Plymouth-Whitemarsh Bonner 21, Carroll 0 Passing whiz Mike Mitros surprised Carroll by running for 109 yards and TDs of 32 and 35 yards on 14 carries as Bonner won its first title since 1961. Mitros also passed 5-for-14 for 102 yards and a 66-yard TD -- a city-league record 41st -- to Frank Serratore. For Carroll, Andrew Tamaccio passed 16-for-29 for 198 yards, mostly to Corey Hill (7-90) and Pete Hinckle (6-93).

ran five times for 119 yards and three TDs, all in the first quarter, and
