Inter-Ac League
Season's Recap Episcopal (3-0-0)
Malvern was ineligible for the title, having broken rules
concerning pre-season practices. Nevertheless, host
Episcopal gained a huge measure of satisfaction in the
next-to-last week when it terminated Malvern's 34-game,
nine-season winning streak against league foes, 13-6. Jamie
Auch, son of coach Jim Auch, and Morty Fertel ran for
TDs. In their finale, the Churchmen spanked host Haverford,
21-0, to win their first title since 1949 and finish perfect for
the first time since 1942. PC went 2-1-0 for second.
